The isolation of Estonian libraries was overcome by establishing the Board of Directors of Scientific and Specialized Libraries to foster closer cooperation between these ibraries. Estonia joined the AGRIS/CARIS system. The Agricultural Library still has no computers (CD-ROM- based workstations have since been installed). The staff works on the Estonian descriptor thesaurus and translation of the UDC. |
