Databases being built in ISTIA Nitra 

1. Agrocatalogue
    thematic survey: 
    agriculture: crop production, animal production, forestry, agricultural economy, food industry,
    environment
    characteristics: 
    central catalogue of library fund of research institutes in the field of agriculture.
    Contains bibliographic information about monographs, proceedings, periodicals, audio
    and cartographic documents. At present contains 8898 records, updated gradually. 

2. FAO
    thematic survey: 
    general agriculture, crop production, animal production, forestry, fisheries,
    soil science, water management, economical and social development, statistics, nutrition
    and the food industry,
    characteristics: 
    Database includes annotated bibliographical records about FAO Depository Library
    Fund. Worldwide surveys and market statistics, production of agricultural crops,
    trade,  fertilizers, fisheries, forestry and industry fibres make up a unique source of
    information about  world agriculture. Since its beginnings in 1993, its number of records has
    grown to 3289, with about 500 added annually. 

3. EU 
    thematic survey:
    institutional issues, Customs Union, agriculture, agricultural research,
    social issues, law and legislation, energy, regional policy, environment, terminology 
    characteristics: 
    annotated bibliographic records about publications, journals and articles from journals with
    EU issues from ISTIA Library Fund. The database starts from November 1996 and
    is updated daily. 

4. Agroindex 
    thematic survey: 
    agriculture, veterinary, forestry, agricultural economy 
    characteristics:
    domestic and foreign agricultural literature, processed from 1979-1992, containing
    450 000 records.
    Foreign technical literature is accessible by translations of titles into Slovak and Czech
    and part of the records also includes references. 

5. Collected catalogue of foreign periodicals periodicals
    This database is a product of the University Library in Bratislava.  
    It contains general information about journals obtained by Slovak and Czech libraries
    from  1976-1996. and is accessible in the CDS/ISIS system.
    It also includes library addresses.
